Publisher:

London: Cassell 1961

First edition. Butlin Beaver Club issue. Publisher's original red cloth with black titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A better than very good copy, the binding firm and square, the contents clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Pages toned as always due to the inferior / cheap paper stock used in production of this issue. Complete with the lightly rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrapper which remains entirely without fading of the spine. Not price-clipped (9/6 net to the front flap).

Price:

£25.00

Notes:

This variant of the traditional yellow jacketed first edition was produced by the publisher for Butlin's Holiday Camps to give as Christmas gifts for members of the Butlin Beaver Club and 'One Five' Club. The dustwrapper is completely different to the regular trade edition and the production quality somewhat cheaper making decent copies now quite difficult to obtain.
