First edition, first impression. Three volumes. Contemporary cream pigskin with gilt titles and tooling to the spine and gilt tooling to the inner dentelles and board edges. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Each volume has a different engraved title page depicting one of the stories. All volumes are in better than very good condition, their bindings square and firm, a little sunned to the spines, with some light rubbing to the board and spine edges. The contents of each volume, with the Sherborne House library bookplate to the front free endpaper, are clean and bright throughout. An exceptionally well presented set.
