A fine copy, commissioned by Hall Bartlett for presentation to his wife Lois Butler to celebrate finishing the film based on Richard Bach's bestselling novel of the same name.

Experimental film maker, writer, producer and director Hall Bartlett's films dealt with social issues, such as racial tension, teenage angst, life in prison, and so on. His early documentary, Navajo (1952), dealing with modern American Indian lives, was nominated for an Oscar. He is however best known for the idiosyncratic feature Jonathan Livingston Seagull (1973), the tale of a bird's quest for happiness.
