ITALIAN HIGHWAYS AND BYWAYS FROM A MOTOR CAR

First UK edition, first printing. Publisher's original green cloth with a gilt scenic vignette to the upper board and titles in gilt to the upper board and spine. Top edge gilt, the others untrimmed. Illustrated with 8 colour tissue-guarded plates, 32 black and white plates, 2 folding maps and numerous in-text maps and drawings. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with a small tear to the head of the spine, bumping to the top corners and a little rubbing to the boards and extremities. The contents with a vertical crease to one black and white plate are otherwise clean throughout and free from any previous owners' inscriptions or stamps.

A nicely illustrated account of an early motoring tour through the cities, towns and countryside of Italy.
