Don Lynch is a historian and researcher of the RMS Titanic, active since the early 1970s. He was a consultant for James Cameron's multi-award winning 1997 film Titanic, in which he had an uncredited cameo appearance. He is a long time colleague of the ocean liner artist Ken Marschall, who also served as a consultant for Cameron's film; the influence of his work on the film's visuals are clear to see in this lavishly illustrated book, which was first published by Hyperion in 1992.
