First edition, first printing. Signed by the author. Original orange cloth with black titles to the spine, in the Ed Emshwiller illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding firm with slight rubbing at the extremities. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed and creased dustwrapper that is faded at the spine and has a short closed tear to the bottom edge of the rear panel. Not price-clipped ($2.95 on the front flap).

Signed by L. Sprague de Camp in black ink on the title page. A collection of two novellas in de Camp and Pratt's 'The Enchanter' fantasy series about a host of parallel magical worlds that co-exist with our own. Originally published in 'Fantasy Fiction and 'Beyond Fantasy Fiction' magazines in 1953 and 1954, the stories are published in book form here for the first time.
