Issued in an edition of 200 copies, from which this example is numbered 146, and signed by William Blatty in black on the colophon. This attractive edition collects Blatty's two novels 'Twinkle, Twinkle, "Killer" Kane' (Doubleday, NY: 1966) and 'The Ninth Configuration' (Harper & Row, NY: 1978). 'The Ninth Configuration' is a reworking of 'Twinkle, Twinkle, "Killer" Kane'. Blatty later wrote, produced, and directed the 1980 film adaptation 'The Ninth Configuration', in his directorial debut, winning the 1981 Golden Globe Award for 'Best Screenplay'.
