Considered one of the most significant and prolific Canadian fantasy authors, Charles De Lint received the World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement in 2018. 'The Wind in his Heart' is the latest in De Lint's Newford series, a sequence of tales set in a harsh, Celtic-Magic-ridden city, reminiscent of Toronto (SF Encyclopedia, 2025).
