Morris and the author of the introduction Ramsey Campbell in black ink on the colophon. Thomas Tyron's debut novel 'The Other' was first published in 1971 by Alfred A. Knopf, New York. A surprise bestseller, it was adapted into the 1972 film of the same name directed by Robert Mulligan and starring Uta Hagen.
