'The Fall of Hades' was originally published in 2010 by Dark Regions Press, and is the third and final volume in Thomas' Hades Trilogy, following the novel 'Letters from Hades' (2003) and the short story collection 'Voices from Hades' (2008). This expanded edition also includes the short story 'The Lost Family', which first appeared in the anthology 'Vivisepulture' (published by Anarchy Books in 2011), and the novella 'Beloved Succubus', which is original to this publication. In the author's note, Thomas explains that these 'side quests' are not sequels, they actually take place chronologically between chapters 31 and 32 of the novel. Frank Walls is a contemporary American artist known for his dark surrealist style and fantasy illustrations. He has produced cover art for science fiction and horror writers including Jeffrey Thomas, Jeff Strand, and Shane McKenzie (Walls, 2023).
