Jeffrey Thomas' 'Punktown' originated with the publication of his collected short stories (Ministry of Whimsy Press, 2000), and have since expanded into further collections of short fiction, a number of novels, two shared world anthologies, and a role-playing game set in the Punktown universe. Often cited as an early example of the 'New Weird' subgenre of literature, 'Punktown' is known among fans for its unpredictable theme, grotesque imagery, and genre crossover between horror, science fiction and crime fiction.
