Publisher's original pictorial boards with titles in grey and white to the upper board and spine, in the David Gentry illustrated dustwrapper. Textured endpapers. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents are clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. The text block has light spotting to the top edge. Complete with the fine original dustwrapper, which is bright and fresh, with a touch of rubbing to the extremities, and otherwise without fading, loss, or tears.

Issued in an edition of 300 jacketed hardcover copies, from which this example is numbered 187, and signed by Gene Wolfe in black ink on the limitation page. There was also a simultaneous issue of 100 copies in a solander box that is also signed by Alastair Reynolds, who provides the introduction.
