First edition. Signed by the author. Publisher's original black cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. With 14 black and white illustrations throughout. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm, with mild some to the spine tips and extremities, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with a small inscription from the author in black ink to the front endpaper, are otherwise clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed and creased dustwrapper, which is bright and fresh, and without fading, loss, or tears.

Inscribed by Andrew Cambers in black ink on the front endpaper "Dear Bill / Many thanks for / your help with / this / with best wishes, / Andrew".
