Issued in a limited edition of 1,200 copies, this example is numbered 931. Inscribed by Ken MacLeod on the title page "To Peter / with respect / and admiration / @ Boskone 43 / Ken MacLeod". Boskone 43 was a Science Fiction convention held in Boston in February 2006 at which MacLeod was the Guest of Honor, Donato Giancola was the Official Artist and 'Giant Lizards From Another Star' was the 'Boskone Book'. The recipient is almost certainly Peter Weston, a speaker at Boskone 43 and a significant British science fiction fanzine writer and editor who was instrumental in the function and success of the British science fiction fan community from the 1960s onwards. Weston is the recipient of multiple awards and honours, including the Hugo and Nova awards for best fanzine. 'Giant Lizards From Another Star' is a collection of novellas, short stories, poems and essays by one of the leading writers of the Scottish school of hard science fiction.
