Publisher's original black cloth with titles in black to the spine and illustration in black to the upper board, in the Paul Romano illustrated dustwrapper. With a frontispiece and four further black and white illustrations by Jonathan Dennison. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the fine original dustwrapper, which is free from fading, loss or tears.

Issued in an edition of 470 copies, from which this example is numbered 394 and signed by the author T. E. D. Klein in black in on the limitation page. A collection of four short stories, three of which were originally published in anthologies, with 'Children of the Kingdom' in 'Dark Forces' (1980), 'Petey' in 'Shadows 2' (1979) and 'Black Man with a Horn' in 'New Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos' (1980). The first collected edition in book form, 'Dark Gods', was published in 1985 by Viking and included a fourth story, 'Nadelman's God'.
