Collector's edition. Signed by the author. Publisher's original blue morocco, three raised bands, with gilt titles, borders and decorated compartments to the spine, and with gilt illustration and borders to both boards. All edges gilt. White silk bookmark. Patterned endpapers. Illustrated throughout with a colour frontispiece by Frank Kelly Freas, and four black and white plates by Laura Brodian Kelly Freas. A small publisher's notice is loosely laid in. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth and gilt fresh, with one small nick to the bottom edge of the upper board, and a touch of rubbing to the extremities. Light toning to the head of the bookmark. The contents, with a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown, are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps.

Signed by the author Ursula K. Le Guin in gold ink on a tipped in page to the front, as issued. Winner of the 1969 Nebula and 1970 Hugo Awards.
