A stunning complete set of Liu's landmark science fiction-espionage 'Remembrance of Earth's Past' trilogy, which follows the first contact with and ultimate invasion of Earth by Trisolaran aliens, set during the Cultural Revolution in China. 'The Three Body Problem' won the 2015 Hugo Award for 'Best Novel', the first translated work to receive this highest award for science fiction writing. The novel has since been adapted several times for television and other media, most recently for the multi Emmy-nominated '3 Body Problem' Netflix series produced by Alexander Woo and 'Game of Thrones' creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. The final volume in the series ('Death's End') received a nomination for the 2017 Hugo Award and went on to win the Locus Award for 'Best Science Fiction Novel'. The set is complemented by the science fiction novel 'The Redemption of Time' (2011: Chongqing Publishing House), considered the unofficial sequel to 'Death's End'. It was written in just three weeks as a fan fiction to continue on the events of Liu's trilogy and launched Baoshu's writing career. While it has not yet been accepted as part of the official canon, Baoshu's work attempts to fill the literary gaps of the original trilogy and has been praised for the author's powerful and descriptive writing. Best known for his 'silkpunk' epic fantasy series 'The Dandelion Dynasty' and his Hugo, Nebula and World Fantasy Award-winning short story 'The Paper Menagerie', Ken Liu here presents the definitive Chinese-English translations of Cixin Liu's novels.
