A science fiction novel set in Anderson's 'Technic History' universe in which the crew of the spaceship Quetzal are sent to establish relations with a population of humans who have existed in isolation on the planet Gwydion for over a thousand years. The crew find a utopian society that knows no war, violence or greed, but hides a sinister secret.
