First collected edition. Limited edition. Signed by the authors of the introductions and cover artist. Two volumes. Publisher's original silver cloth with dark blue titles to the spine, in the Edward Miller illustrated dustwrappers and silver cloth slipcase with dark blue titles to the backstrip. Illustrated endpapers. Blue satin bookmark. A fine set, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the very slightly rubbed dustwrappers, which are without fading, loss, or tears. Not price-clipped (£50/$100 to the lower rear panel). Housed in the near fine, structurally sound slipcase, which just has a couple of small marks to the upper and lower edges.
Issued in an edition of 200 copies, from which this edition is numbered 155, and signed by the authors of the introduction Brian W. Aldiss ('Hello Summer, Goodbye'), Eric Brown ('I Remember Pallahaxi'), and the cover artist Edward Miller in black ink on the limitation pages. 'Hello Summer, Goodbye' was originally published in the UK in 1975 by Victor Gollancz Ltd., while the previously unpublished sequel is posthumously released for the first time as part of this set. The former is a romantic coming-of-age story set against an impending eco-catastrophe, while the latter (set hundreds of years later) is presented as a science fiction-murder mystery novel, with an underlying theme of anti-colonisation.
