First edition. 7pp. Publisher's original stapled wrappers. A very good copy, the binding firm with a soft crease to the inner edge (from being loosely tucked into a book), the contents clean and bright throughout with just a hint of toning to the extremities.
A scarce pamphlet by the prominent mid-twentieth century vegetarian campaigner and Secretary of the Vegetarian Society, Geoffrey L. Rudd, providing an overview of the role of vegetarianism within the Bible. Considering the practice of meat-eating to be incompatible with the teachings of Christ and the life of a true Christian, Rudd explains that it is not the purpose of the work "to justify our way of life by recourse to the Bible, but to show that when Christians become so minded, they will find in their Scriptures a far greater justification for vegetarianism than for flesh-eating". We can trace only one institutional copy worldwide (Wellcome).
