Eighth printing of the 1926 first edition. Publisher's original green cloth with gilt titles to the spine and a gilt illustration on the upper board, without dustwrapper. Top edge gilt. Illustrated in black-and-white by E. H. Shepard throughout. A very good copy, the binding firm with a little rubbing and bumping to the extremities, the spine a touch rolled, the cloth and gilt bright and fresh. The contents, with a previous owner's inscription and very light offsetting to the front flyleaf, are otherwise clean throughout.

The first book of Pooh stories, followed by The House At Pooh Corner. An indisputable highlight of children's literature.
