WHEN WE WERE VERY YOUNG

Eighth printing of the 1924 first edition. Publisher's original blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine and a gilt illustration to the upper board, without dustwrapper. Top edge gilt. Illustrated throughout in black and white by E. H. Shepard. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with a little bumping at the spine tips, the cloth with a touch of fraying and a couple of small marks is bright and fresh. The contents, with a small ink name to the upper edge of the front pastedown and mild offsetting to the endpapers, are otherwise clean throughout.

A collection of children's verse, that includes 'Teddy Bear' in which the author introduces, and the artist illustrates 'Mr Edward Bear', who became better known as Winnie the Pooh.
