WESTMINSTER ABBEY: THE COSMATI PAVEMENTS. Courtauld Research Papers No. 3.

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original green cloth with silver titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. With 41 black and white illustrations throughout, and a fold-out colour plate fixed to the rear. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh, with just a little rubbing to the spine tips and extremities. The contents, with an isolated spot to the fore- and bottom edges of the closed text block and the occasional light mark throughout, are otherwise clean and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed dustwrapper that is faded to blue at the spine, and otherwise remains without loss or tears. Not price-clipped.

The first in-depth examination of Westminster Abbey's two beautiful and mysterious inlaid pavements.
