A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the spine slightly faded, the head of the spine very lightly bumped. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions.

Inscribed by Gregory Rogers in blue ink on the title page "For / Kay, / with my very best wishes, / Greg / Rogers". A picture book about a homeless young boy who discovers and protects a stray kitten, written by the Centenary Medal winning Australian author Libby Hathorn. Rogers won the Kate Greenaway Medal for his illustrations for this book, making him the first Australian to do so. Winner of the Parents' Choice Award in the USA.
