First UK hardcover edition, first printing. Publisher's original black cloth with silver titles to the spine, in the Richard Weaver illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, with a touch of rubbing to the extremities. The contents, with light offsetting to the rear endpaper, are otherwise clean throughout, and without inscriptions or stamps. The text block is a little spotted to the top and fore-edges. Complete with the very good or better spine-faded dustwrapper that is a little toned to the top edge of the flaps and folds. Clipped and re-priced with small publisher's label (£4.95 to the lower front flap).
