A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm, the top corner of the upper board with a tiny patch of wear and the lower board with an indentation, the spine faded. The contents are clean and bright throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions.

A children's picture book in which a little girl presents a series of fantastical explanations as to how various everyday appliances work, each follow by a learned dog clearly explaining how they really work, accompanied by diagrams. With text by the poet, children's author, playwright and host of BBC Radio's 'Poetry Please', Roger McGough, illustrated by Chris Riddell, former Children's Laureate and three-times winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal.
