Publisher's original black cloth with silver titles to the spine and illustrated onlay to the upper board, in the David Ho illustrated dustwrapper. Housed in an pictorial card sleeve. With a frontispiece, five black and white double page illustrations and four further black and white plates by David Ho. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the near fine original dustwrapper, which is a touch rubbed to the spine ends and folds and is otherwise free from fading, loss or tears. Housed in the lightly rubbed card sleeve.

Issued in an edition of 300 copies, from which this example is numbered 76 and signed by the author David J. Schow, illustrator David Ho, and author of the introduction F. Paul Wilson in blue and black ink on the colophon. Originally published in 'Weird Tales' Magazine (#296 Spring 1990) as an 8000 word short story, and in the UK for the first time in book form, later the same year, by MacDonald. This Centipede Press edition is the first time both versions of the story have been printed together.
