THE OPEN TRAIL

First UK edition, first printing. Original orange cloth with black titles to the spine, in the Cecil W. Bacon illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding firm, the boards a little bowed, with slight dustmarking to the top edges. The contents, with a previous owner's bookplate and stamp to the front pastedown and ownership inscription to the title page, are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the rubbed, creased and nicked dustwrapper which has some closed tears to the edges and a little loss to the top of the front spine fold. A scarce title.

George B. Rodney, of the prominent political Rodney family of Delaware, was a cavalry officer and later a colonel in the US army who wrote scores of western adventure novels throughout the 30s and 40s.
