Publisher's original black cloth with titles in silver to the spine and illustration in blind to the upper board, in the Lisa Desimini illustrated dustwrapper. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the fine original dustwrapper which is free from fading, loss or tears.

Issued in an edition of 250 copies, of which is example is numbered 138 and signed by the author Bernard Taylor, author of the introduction Bev Vincent and dustwrapper artist Lisa Desimini. The author's debut novel, first published in 1975 by Souvenir Press. 'The Godsend' was adapted for the 1980 film of the same name directed by Gabrielle Beaumont, starring Malcolm Stoddard, Cyd Hayman and Angela Pleasence.
