First edition with these illustrations. Trade issue. Publisher's original beige cloth with titles in red to the spine, in the Timothy Truman illustrated dustwrapper. Textured endpapers. Illustrated throughout with 27 black and white plates by Glenn Chadbourne. A near fine copy, the binding is square and firm with mild bumping to the spine tips. The contents, with a small round production flaw (light impression) to the front endpaper, are clean throughout and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed dustwrapper, which is bright and fresh, and without fading, loss, or tears. Not price-clipped ($40 to the upper front flap).
