Illustrated with in colour and black and white throughout by John Stewart, Lee Brown Coye, Francis Bacon, and Francois Launet. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout, and without previous owners' marks.

Issued in an edition of 500 copies, from which this example is numbered 125, and signed by the Michael Shea in black ink on the colophon. The volume collects 21 short stories published in magazine form between 1977 and 2004. Shea's titular short story 'The Autopsy' was later adapted for television by David S. Goyer in the 2022 Netflix miniseries 'Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities' (episode three).
