Illustrated with a wood-engraved frontispiece by Hilary Paynter, an extra engraving 'Loading Door' by Barry Moser, five further wood-engravings, 12 tipped in photographs (in black and white and colour), and two pieces of ephemera. Set in Van Dijck by Peter J. Sanderson, printed on Zerkall paper. A fine copy.

Issued in a total edition of 310 copies, this example is one of 200 copies with an extra engraved illustration by Barry Moser. A tribute to the master blockmaker Stanley Lawrence (T. N. Lawrence and Son Ltd), by his grandson, with contributions from Charles Dickens (an extract from Little Dorrit on Bleeding Heart Yard), Ralph Steadman, Barry Moser, Edward Bawden, Gordon Craig and other notable participants of wood-engraving and fine printing.
