First hardback edition, first printing. Original black cloth lettered in silver to the spine, in the dustwrapper designed by Pentagram and with Phil Sayers' photograph of Larkin on the front panel. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean throughout. In the near fine dustwrapper showing just a touch of shelf wear.
