First edition. Limited edition. Publisher's original card covers with marbled paper wrappers and titles in blue on a blue paper label to the front cover. Marbled paper wrappers named 'Fireworks' by Jemma Lewis. Letterpress booklet. 8pp. Frontispiece printed from the original Curwen electrotype and hand coloured in blue to match the original. Original black and white wood block print loosely held in a corner pocket and printed from the original block, which was made by T.N. Lawrence and Son in 1933. Printed on Basingwerk Parchment paper by Simon Lawrence of Fleece Press. Prospectus loosely laid in. A fine copy, the marbled covers and woodblock print are bright and fresh, the contents clean throughout.

Issued here for the first time in an edition of 120 copies. Originally printed in April 1934 as the illustration for the Curwen Press News-Letter No.6. Eric Ravilious's jazzy, geometric cover engraving is 'Arranged elliptically around a flatterened star, it is at once confident and commanding, to which the original pale blue watercolour colouring adds an extra sparkle' (publisher's booklet).
