Recessed into the box is a companion volume of the Oxford University Press edition of the play bound in matching dark red buckram, with gilt titles to the spine, and a white label with black lettering fixed to the upper board. With 17 black and white illustrations featured in the introduction to companion volume. Typeset in 'Monotype' Baskerville with Caslon Display on Zerkall mould-made paper. Deckled fore- and bottom edges. Red textured endpapers. Top edge gilt. Red satin bookmark. An excellent fine copy, the binding square and firm, bright and fresh. Issued in an edition of 3750 numbered copies, from which this example is numbered 28 in black ink, with a tissue-guard loosely laid in to the limitation page. A further 25 lettered copies were also issued, but were not for sale. The text used is the 2006 Clarendon/Oxford University Press edition (edited by Michael Neill), the full edition of which is included (with introduction, notes and appendices) in the accompanying volume. Part of The Folio Society Letterpress Shakespeare edition, hand-bound by G. Lachenmaier, Reutlingen and printed by Offizin Haag-Drugulin, Leipzig. The series is colour-coded according to genre: red for tragedies, blue for histories, green for comedies, and turquoise for sonnets and poems.
