Loosely laid into cream paper wrappers with titles in black and red to the front cover. Tissue guard and publisher's note, written by David Chamber, loosely laid in. Printed by Simon Lawrence. A fine copy. Scarce in commerce. Only two copies appear in auction records, the last of which sold at Woolley and Wallis (5th June 2024, for £756).
Issued in an edition of 125 copies (of which 100 were for sale), from which this example is numbered 7 on the publisher's note. One of five illustrations Lettice Sandford produced for 'The Amourous Poem Entitled Hero and Leander' by Christopher Marlowe, published by the Golden Hours Press in 1933, which was formed by her husband Christopher Sandford.
