Illustrated throughout with eight black and white wood engravings by Hilary Paynter. Original blue quarter leather with blue cloth-covered boards and a title label to the upper board. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents are clean and bright throughout.
Issued in a limited edition of 150 copies with this example numbered 31 and signed by Simon Armitage in blue ink and and Hilary Paynter in black ink on the colophon. There was also an 'deluxe' edition lettered A through to Z, in a slipcase. A collection of the poems that Armitage wrote for the 'Stanza Stones' project, an art and literature project that saw the poems carved onto six stones across the Yorkshire countryside.
