Re-issue (first Dobson Science Fiction edition). Publisher's original dark brown cloth with silver titles to the spine, in the Richard Weaver illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, with a couple of small bumps to the spine tips. The contents, with a little spotting to the top edge of the text block, are otherwise clean throughout, and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the better than very good, rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrapper, which is a little toned to the spine, and otherwise without loss, or tears. Not price-clipped (21s net to the lower front flap).
An early edition of Asimov's classic fix-up science fiction collection, which introduced the Three Laws of Robotics and challenged the popular perception of robots as metal monsters. The collection was first published in the US by Gnome Press in 1950, and went on to receive the 2016 Retro Hugo Award for the short story 'Robbie'.
