First edition. Publisher's original blue cloth with oxidised gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. Top edge blue. With 557 illustrations throughout the text by Harlan Tarbell and eight pages of reproductions from motion pictures. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm with some bumping to the spine tips and corners, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with a previous owner's name and date to the front pastedown (partially hidden by the dustwrapper flap), are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrapper that has a few short closed tears and a touch of fading to the spine. Not price-clipped ($5 to the upper front flap).
