FLANDRY OF TERRA, THE GREGG PRESS SCIENCE FICTION SERIES: ENSIGN FLANDRY; A CIRCUS OF HELL; THE REBEL WORLDS; AGENT OF THE TERRAN EMPIRE; FLANDRY OF TERRA; A KNIGHT OF GHOSTS AND SHADOWS.

First Gregg Press edition, first printing. Complete in six uniform volumes. Original burgundy cloth with white titles to the spines and Anderson's facsimile signature in white to the upper boards, in the Don Carter illustrated dustwrappers. A better than very good set, the bindings square and firm, 'Agent of the Terran Empire' with very light rubbing and bumping to the foot of the spine, the cloth otherwise bright and fresh. The closed text-block edge of all volumes has a little faint spotting and 'Ensign Flandry' has faint creasing to the top corners of the first few pages, the contents are otherwise clean throughout and without stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the very good original dustwrappers that are faded to the spines and lightly rubbed at the extremities. A nice set.

An attractive Gregg Press edition of all of Paul Anderson's Dominic Flandry novels and collections up to the publication date. Set in Poul's wider 'Technic History' space opera series. Flandry is a roguish, Bond-esque field agent who rises through the ranks from Cadet to Lieutenant and eventually to Knight in Earth's Imperial Space Army, the military of a far-future Earth's widespread terraforming 'Terran' empire, whilst having a multitude of intergalactic adventures and seducing countless damsels along the way. 'Ensign Flandry' includes a new introduction by Sandra Meisel. 'Flandry of Terra' collects three novelettes, 'The Game of Glory', 'A Message in Secret' and 'The Plague of Masters'; 'Agent of the Terran Empire' contains three short stories and a novelette, 'Tiger by the Tail', 'The Warriors from Nowhere', 'Honorable Enemies' and 'Hunters of the Sky Cave'; the remaining four volumes are novels.
