DON AMONG THE DEAD MEN

First edition, first printing. Original black paper-covered boards with gilt titles to the spine, in the Freda Nichols illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding firm with a lean to the spine. There is some offsetting to the free endpapers and a small bookseller's label to the front pastedown, the contents are otherwise clean and without stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the rubbed and nicked dustwrapper which is a little faded to the spine and has some short closed tears at the edges, primarily at the spine and flap folds. Not price-clipped (10s. 6d. on the front flap).

A black comedy about an Oxford don who murders his colleagues. The basis for the a 1962 Don Chaffey directed film 'A Jolly Bad Fellow', starring Leo McKern and Janet Munro.
