Woodcut print from the original 1939 block measuring 19.5 x 12cm on on C. F. Fabriano 100/100 cotton paper measuring 28 x 19cm. A couple of faint spots to the extreme right edge of the paper margin otherwise in fine condition.

Enid Marx (1902-1998) was a British textile designer, printmaker and illustrator who, alongside her contemporaries Eric Ravilious and Edward Bawden, defined mid-century design. Perhaps best known for her iconic London underground fabrics, she was one of the first ever women to be named a Royal Designer for Industry.
