First edition with these illustrations. Original red paper-covered boards with a cream spine lettered in red and titles and an illustration to the upper board, lacking the dustwrapper. Top edge red. Illustrated with ten colour plates and further black and white in-text line drawings by Robert Högfeldt throughout. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, with some wear to the board corners. The contents, with a small previous owner's name on the front free endpaper and some toning to the blank margins of the plates, are otherwise clean throughout.

A lovely combined edition of 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and 'Through the Looking-Glass', beautifully illustrated by the Swedish artist Robert Högfeldt (1894-1986).
