Contemporary calf binding embossed with an elaborate Christmas pudding and holly design to the upper and lower boards and spine. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. With a black and white frontispiece depicting Scrooge. A pocket edition, measuring 7.7 x 13 x 1.1 cm. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, with a little wear to the hinges and corners. There is cracking to the gutter at the verso of the frontispiece and a few small ink spots to the flyleaf, the contents are otherwise clean and without stamps or inscriptions.
