First English edition, first printing. Publisher's original tan cloth with titles in blind to the upper board and in black to the spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated with 398 examples of Cassandre's work, including 90 in colour and many full-page. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with a hint of bumping to the spine ends. The contents with a couple of minor marks to the edges of the textblock are otherwise clean and bright throughout and remain free from any previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the very good lightly rubbed dustwrapper which has a touch of creasing to the spine ends. Not price-clipped.

The first in-depth study of the artist Cassandre, written by his son Henri Mouron and superbly illustrated with a comprehensive range of Cassandre's work. Translated from the French of the first edition, published the same year.
