ABOUT LARKIN: JOURNAL OF THE PHILIP LARKIN SOCIETY

53 issues: 1–56 (lacking 35, 52 and 55). Original illustrated stapled paper wrappers. All issues are near fine, clean and unmarked. From the library of Professor Edwin Dawes.

Edwin Dawes (1925-2023) was, appropriately, Reckitt Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Hull, later serving as the University's Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean of Science, and also as Chair of the Library Committee. Dawes initially got to know Larkin in the latter's capacity as chief librarian at the university, but they soon became good friends. Dawes was later a founder and chairman of the Philip Larkin Society.
