TALK OF THE DEVIL

First edition, first printing. Inscribed by the author and the illustrator. Publisher's original green cloth with black titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. With six full page black and white illustrations by 'Trog' printed on gloss white paper. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean throughout. Complete with the lightly rubbed dustwrapper that has a couple of short closed tears but is otherwise bright and without fading or loss. Not price-clipped (7s 6d net to the front flap).

Inscribed in black ink on the front endpaper "Best wishes to L. B. Cooper / from Trog" underneath which the author has inscribed in blue "with, if possible even / better ones from / Ewan Butler". A satirical supernatural thriller in which the Devil visits England with foul consequences. (Reginald 02369).
