A beautiful set, generously illustrated throughout with colour plates. The text used is the translation by Edward MacCurdy, originally published by Jonathan Cape in 1956, with minor emendations, with the addition of extracts from Leonardo's 'Madrid Codices' translated by Ladislao Reti, and a new introduction by Charles Nicholl.
