First edition, first printing of the first truly significant publication of Lévi's work in the English language. Original blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine and a gilt design and red ruled border to the upper board. A very good copy, the binding firm, the spine a little faded, the extremities slightly rubbed and corners with minor bumping. The contents, with a little spotting, offsetting, and dustiness early and late, a light mark to the bottom corner of the contents page, and the occasional finger mark to the margins, are otherwise clean and without stamps or inscriptions. Very scarce in first edition.
