MONSOON VICTORY

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original yellow cloth boards and gilt titles to the spine, with the dustwrapper. Illustrated throughout with black and white frontispiece and 12 photographs. A very good copy, the binding tight and square, with bumping and some light toning to the spine ends and board edges. The contents, with a previous owner's name to the front pastedown, are foxed to the top edge of the text block and occasionally throughout. Complete with the rubbed, creased and nicked dustwrapper, which is a little toned to the spine and rear panel, but otherwise free from fading, loss or tears. Not price clipped (10s 6d net to the front flap).

An account of the 11th Division of the East African Rifles's campaign against the Japanese in Burma 1944, by Captain Gerald Hanley, who acted as a Special War Correspondent. Uncommon with the dustwrapper.
